Mt. SAC Surges to 20th Win in a Row with 18-1 Blowout Over LA Harbor

Wilmington, Calif. – In a dominant performance, Mt. SAC rolled to an 18-1 victory over LA Harbor, on Thursday, March 27, showcasing offensive firepower across multiple innings. With this win, the Mounties have extended their winning streak to an incredible 20 games while their record sits at 24-3 overall with a perfect 11-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The game's scoring began in the third inning when Mt. SAC's Landon White delivered a clutch double to center field, driving in Bryan Bradshaw and Terrell Jackson Jr. for a two-run lead. LA Harbor responded in the bottom of the third, with DJ Garcia singling to left field to bring in Ryan Diggle, cutting the lead to 2-1.

However, Mt. SAC extended their lead in the fourth inning when Jackson Jr. reached on a fielder's choice, allowing Miguel Perez to come across the plate to make it 3-1.

The seventh inning was where Mt. SAC truly took control, scoring a whopping six runs. White added another RBI with a single to center, scoring Jackson Jr and then Ty Thomas  followed with an RBI single of his own, bringing in Bradshaw for a 5-1 advantage. An error by LA Harbor's shortstop allowed Diego Ortiz to reach base and White to score, giving Mt. SAC a 6-1 lead. Tyler Stull then stepped up, hitting a two-RBI single to right field, driving in Ortiz and Thomas. Jackson Giacone capped the inning with an unearned RBI on another error, bringing in Stull for a 9-1 lead.

The offensive barrage continued in the eighth inning as Mt. SAC put up another five runs. Stull doubled to center for two more RBIs, scoring Thomas and White, followed by a two-RBI double from Giacone to score both Stull and Ortiz. A sacrifice fly by Nachreiner brought Giacone home, making it 14-1.

In the ninth inning, Mt. SAC put the finishing touches on the blowout. Diego Villa delivered a two-RBI double, scoring Bradshaw and White, before Stull's RBI single brought in Thomas for a 17-1 lead. Villa then scored on a wild pitch to make it 18-1, capping an impressive performance from the Mounties.

The dominant win featured an explosive offensive display, while starting pitcher Hudson Castillo, reliever Joey Peralta and closer Dom Versluis kept LA Harbor at bay.
