Brian Crichlow enters his 15th season (2024-2025) as head coach of the powerhouse Mt. San Antonio College Women’s Basketball Program, with an incredible head coaching record of 381 wins and 57 losses (.870 winning percentage).
During his tenure, Crichlow has led the Mounties to 11 South Coast Conference Championships (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024), six California Community College Final Four appearances (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), two state runner-up finishes (2014, 2015), and four California Community College State Championships (2012, 2013, 2016, 2017). His coaching excellence has earned him numerous honors, including South Coast Coach of the Year (2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024), SCC All-Sports Coach of the Year (2016), and State Coach of the Year (2011).
Before becoming head coach, Crichlow spent 11 years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator under Laura Beeman, helping the team secure four state championships (2004, 2006, 2007, 2008), nine Elite Eight appearances, and 10 South Coast Conference titles.
Crichlow began his coaching career at his alma mater, Pomona High School, where he excelled as a three-sport athlete (football, basketball, and tennis). During his tenure at Pomona High School, he served as the Boys’ Freshman and Junior Varsity Coach, Girls’ Varsity Basketball Head Coach, Junior Varsity and Varsity Girls’ Tennis Coach, and the Boys’ Varsity Tennis Coach. As the Girls’ Varsity Basketball Head Coach, he led the team to a 35-19 record, two Miramonte League titles, and a CIF semifinal appearance in 1998, earning Miramonte League Coach of the Year honors that same year.
Beyond Mt. SAC, Crichlow serves as Director of the West Coast Premier Basketball Academy, a Nike-sponsored travel program he founded in 2007. The academy showcases some of the best high school girls’ basketball talent on the West Coast.
An active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s Phi Lambda Chapter, Crichlow is dedicated to community service, including blood drives, voter registration, literacy programs, Habitat for Humanity, and scholarship initiatives promoting academic excellence for aspiring college students.
A Pomona native, Crichlow earned his Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies from Mt. SAC in 2000, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of La Verne in 2007, and a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University in 2013. He is also a full-time Professor of Kinesiology at Mt. SAC.
Crichlow and his wife, Leshea, reside in Rialto with their three children: Brishea, Brianna, and Xavier.
