(Pasadena, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball captured their first ever South Coast Conference (SCC) North Division Championship by defeating host, Pasadena City College, 3-1 on Wednesday (11/16/16). The Mounties had already won a share of the crown, but the win over the Lancers gave the title outright to the Mounties. Mt. SAC had never won an SCC Women's Volleyball Championship in the 40-year history of the conference. The Mounties finished the regular season with an impressive, 19-3 overall record and a perfect 8-0 in SCC North Division play.
The Mounties have received the #16 seed in the California Community College Athletic Association SoCal Regional Play-Offs and will host #17 seed, Mt. San Jacinto College (15-10) this Saturday, at 7:00 pm, in a play-in match-up. The winner of this contest will travel to take on either #1 seed, Grossmont College or #2 seed, Los Angeles Pierce College next Tuesday, November 22.
Tickets are available for purchase at the door and are:
- $12 Adults* (13-54 years of age)
- $8 Seniors* (55 or better)
- $8 Staff/Students* (w/ID)
- $8 Children* (6-12 years of age)
*Prices established by the CCCAA for post conference competition
