RCC Invitational: Mt. SAC Women's Track and Field finishes second as a team

(Riverside, CA) At the 2024 Riverside City College Invitational on Friday, March 1, Mt. San Antonio College finished second as a team with 105.5 points, sandwiched between the University of California Riverside (1st place, 137 points) and California State University Fullerton (3rd place, 96 points).

Athletes from 12 teams competed in the 20-event meet that saw the Mounties come in first in one event, second in four, and third in three.

Sophia Perez (pole vault) accounted for Mt. SAC's lone first-place finish, while teammates Carlota Romay Rega (high jump), Exacte Kamba (high jump), Astrid Teran (pole vault), and Emily Johnson (long jump) placed second in their events.

Third-place finishes came from Summer Stevenson (triple jump), Alyssah Johnson (400 hurdles), and Kahlai Cruser (800 meters).
