(Walnut, CA) For No. 13 seed Pasadena City College (15-5-4), the third time was, indeed, a charm. Host and No. 4 seed Mt. San Antonio College (15-4-3) had defeated the Lancers twice this season, 1-0 on Oct. 17 and 5-0 on Nov. 7 in the second round of the South Coast Conference Tournament. This time, however, PCC scored a 2-1 double-overtime win against the Mounties when it counted most: the opening round of the 3C2A Southern California Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 18.

On an assist from Vivian Lopez, Brianna Bernal scored the game's first goal in the 6th minute to put Mt. SAC up, 1-0. The Lancers responded with a goal of their own in the 14th minute. After that, the teams played to a 1-1 draw until PCC scored the winning goal in the 115th minute to advance to the next round.

That's a wrap on the 2023 season for the Mounties, who were runners-up in the SCC Tournament and North Division champs. Until the 2024 season next fall, stay Mountie strong!
