Congratulations to Mt. SAC Men's Water Polo student/athlete Alex Lopez on being named the first CCCWPCA Athlete of the Week along with Alana McCartney of College of Marin for the 2023 season.

Lopez is making waves in the community college world of water polo this season. He's been a standout player, leading the state in goals (82), assists (47), steals (47), and total points (129) after 14 games. His consistency is remarkable, with at least two goals in every game and five or more goals in 12 games. He even scored 10 goals in games against Palomar and PEAK.

What's more, he's a great team player, contributing with assists and steals in every game. The Mounties are doing great as well, currently ranked fourth in the state. Keep an eye on Lopez as he continues to shine in the 2023 water polo season!
