Mt. SAC Baseball SCC Post Season Accolades

(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Baseball program captured the three highest honors on the 2018 All South Coast Conference (SCC) Baseball Team as well as placing 3 others on the All-SCC First Team. Freshman Outfielder, Elijah Greene was named the SCC MVP, while Freshman Jacob Kampen was named the SCC Pitcher of the Year.  The final top honor, SCC Coach of the Year went to Head Coach John Knott.

Three Mounties were named to the All-SCC First Team.  Sophomore starting pitcher Mason Corneliussen (6-1, 45 IP, 3.60 ERA, 31 Ks), freshman relief pitcher Zach Bromstead (3-0, 3 saves, 1.93 ERA, 23.1 IP, 24 Ks) and sophomore shortstop Anthony Walters (.377, 6 HR, 10 doubles, led all SCC-28 RBI), all earned first team honors.

Sophomore's Chris Sandberg catcher, Ryon Knowles first baseman, Nic Sandoval and Quinn Cotter outfielders, earned All-SCC Second Team Honors.

The Mounties have received the #4 seed in the CCCAA Regional Baseball Playoffs and will take on #13 seed, Santa Barbara City College this weekend in a best of 3 game series.  First game of the series will be here at Mazmanian Field on Friday, May 4 at 2:00 pm.
