(Walnut, CA) For the second year in a row, the Mt. SAC Beach Volleyball team will have two pairs representing the Mounties in the 3C2A Southern California Regional Pairs Championships.

Last season, Mt. SAC also qualified two pairs – Riley DeGroot/Paige Gutowski and Allison Whiteman/Bristol Christelman - for the So Cal's.

In this past weekend's South Coast Conference Pairs Championships at Mt. SAC, the Mounties' Andrea Brewer and Zyra Green placed third, along with Candace Ceballos and Angelina Griego, who finished fifth.

"Congratulations to our two pairs that had outstanding performances at the South Coast Conference Pairs Tournament and earned So Cal Regional Qualifier bids," said Mt. SAC Beach Volleyball coach Samantha Neely.

In the semifinals, the No. 3 Seed Brewer/Green won the opening set, 21-16, but fell in the second set, 21-19, and the third set, 15-10. They will represent Mt. SAC in the third position, while Ceballos/Griego will qualify as the No. 5 pairs.

The So Cal Pairs Championship will take place on Friday and Saturday (May 3, 4).
