Walnut - In a South Coast Conference matchup, the Mt. San Antonio College Women's Water Polo Team defeated Chaffey College 20-3 on Wednesday, October 9.  This win improves the Mounties' overall record to 8-6 and keeps them undefeated in conference play at 4-0, while Chaffey falls to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in conference.

Key contributors to the victory included Salma Valle, Vayda Saucedo, Atty Omeyokan, Sarah Takacs, and Calei Rodriguez, each netting two goals. Several other teammates added single goals, demonstrating the team's depth and offensive strength. Goalie Annika Shaffer was instrumental in the win, recording nine saves to keep the Panthers at bay.

Looking ahead, the Mounties will face a critical matchup against the Long Beach Vikings on Wednesday, October 16, at 3:00 PM, as both teams enter the contest with perfect 4-0 conference records. Before that, the Mounties will compete against Golden West and Southwestern on Friday, October 11, during the Golden West Invite.
