Mt. SAC Dominates Irvine Valley with 3-0 Victory

The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team continued their impressive start to the season with a 3-0 victory over Irvine Valley College on Friday, August 30. The Mounties won in straight sets with scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-15, marking their fifth consecutive win of the season and giving them a 5-0 record.

Standout performances include outside hitters Trinity Gonzales, who recorded seven kills and five aces, and Candace Ceballos, who contributed 13 kills and seven digs. Middle blocker Jordyn Romano stood fierce at the net with eight kills and four blocks and outside hitter Emma Carson recorded three kills on five attempts.

Mt. SAC outplayed Irvine Valley recording a total of 44 kills, 58 digs, 39 assists and nine blocks. In contrast, Irvine Valley struggled to keep up, recording only 24 total kills, 48 digs, 22 aces and two blocks. The Mounties dominance was particularly evident in the final set where they posted a hitting percentage of .303 compared to Irvine Valley's .038.
