Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Tennis team delivered outstanding performances at the South Coast Conference Individual Tournament, claiming victories in both singles and doubles. The Mounties, with an impressive overall record of 14-2 and a perfect 6-0 mark in conference play, showcased their skill and determination.

Julianna Vich and Paige Valenzuela emerged as doubles champions, while Kasandra Uy and Tabitha Ortiz secured spots as doubles finalists. Vich also triumphed in singles, earning the title of singles champion, with Valenzuela finishing as singles finalist.

The Mounties are well-represented in the upcoming state qualifiers, with six singles players and three doubles teams advancing. Vich, Valenzuela, Uy, Ortiz, Sichen Chang, and Mia Vo will compete in singles, while defending doubles champions Vich and Valenzuela will look to defend their title. Emma Cervantes and Vo, along with Uy and Ortiz, also qualified for doubles.

The Mounties will face Santa Barbara City College at home on Tuesday, April 8, in the first round of the 3C2A Regionals. Be sure to come out and support the team as they strive for a state championship. Good luck, ladies!
