
Palm Desert, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Tennis Team remains undefeated as they collected their fifth win of the season with a 9-0 victory over College of the Desert on Tuesday, February 18. Following this win, the Mounties' record improves to 5-0, while the Roadrunners drop to an even 1-1.
Mt. SAC swept all three doubles matches. Paige Valenzuela and Mia Vo battled to a 9-7 victory over Trinity Miller and Zoe Lopez, while Sichen Chang and Emma Cervantes cruised past Elyse Woodforde and Naylea Torres Gallardo 8-2. Nadine Rizkallah and Mandy Rivera secured a hard-fought 8-6 win over Mia Castillo and Oriana Ramirez.
In singles play, the Mounties continued their dominance, winning all six matches in straight sets. Valenzuela defeated Miller 6-1, 6-2, and Vo fought for a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Woodforde. Chang took down Lopez 6-3, 6-3, while Cervantes handled Torres Gallardo 6-3, 6-0. Rizkallah rolled past Castillo 6-1, 6-1, and Rivera capped off the sweep with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Liliana Ruiz.
