
Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Tennis Team continued its dominant start to the season, securing a 7-2 victory over LA Mission for its third consecutive win. The Mounties remain undefeated at 3-0, while the Eagles drop to 0-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Mt. SAC set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches. Paige Valenzuela and Kasandra Uy defeated Jaelyn and Josilyn Rivera 8-4, while Mia Vo and Sichen Chang took down Genesis Nochez and Kristen Bonzon 8-5. The duo of Emma Cervantes and Mandy Rivera also claimed an 8-4 victory over Alitzel Ortega Partida and Caitlin Nycum.
The Mounties carried their momentum into singles play, winning four of six matchups. Valenzuela dominated with a 6-3, 6-0 victory, while Uy secured a 6-4, 6-1 win. Vo and Chang both posted commanding 6-1, 6-1 victories. Cervantes fought hard in a three-set battle but ultimately fell to Ortega Partida (6-4, 6-2, 10-4).

Mt. SAC looks to extend its winning streak on Tuesday, February 4, when the team travels to face Mt. San Jacinto (1-1) at 2:00 PM.
