(Compton, CA) Mt. San Antonio College (10-1, 2-0) extended its win streak to eight with a 5-1 South Coast Conference crossover win against host Compton College (1-5-3, 0-1-1) on Friday, Oct. 7.

Izzy Montelongo put the Mounties on the board first with a score in the 5th minute on an assist from Fatima Arnold. Ayuka Toshimoto (6th minute, Karissa Vela assist), Ava Ochoa (33rd minute, Vela assist), Arnold (47th minute, Paulina Bugarin assist), and Ochoa again (75th minute, Joie Juarez assist) accounted for the other Mt. SAC goals.

Leila Peregrina (80 minutes, two saves, one goal) and Jennifer Sanchez (10 minutes) combined in goal for the Mounties.

Mt. SAC will travel to Norwalk to take on Cerritos College (2-6-1, 0-2) in an SCC crossover game on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 1:45 p.m. The Mounties are ranked No. 2 in the state in the most recent California Community College Sports Information Association poll.
