(Fullerton, CA) It was too little, too late for the Mt. SAC Women's Soccer Team as they fell, 2-1 to the host Fullerton Hornets on Friday.
Despite a Mt. SAC (1-1) goal late in the game, the Mounties couldn't complete the comeback in the second half.
After battling to a 0-0 tie through the first 55 minutes of the game, the Hornets broke loose with two goals in a 14 minute span for a 2-0 lead.
FJC took 10 shots on goal at Mt. SAC goal keeper, Gabrielle Leon (1-1), while the Mounties took seven.
Midfielder Hannah Grady broke the shutout with an unassisted goal in the 70th minute
The Mounties travel to Grossmont (0-1) Tuesday September 3rd.
