Lemoore, Calif. – The Mt. San Antonio College Men's Wrestling Team has once again proven their dominance, capturing the 3C2A State Championship title for the third time in the last four years. The two-day tournament, held at Golden Eagle Arena on December 13-14, saw the Mounties finish with a team score of 204.0, outperforming second-place Fresno City College (138.0) and third-place Palomar College (110.0) among the 22 competing schools.

This victory highlights the Mounties' strength across the state, as they also claimed the State Dual Championship just last month.

Mt. San Antonio placed 11 of the 12 qualified wrestles and crowned four state champions, tying last year's school record for the most individual champions in a season. A total of six Mt. SAC wrestlers finished in the top three of their respective weight classes, propelling the team to the top of the standings. The Mounties had a tournament-best 15 pins.

Individual champions included Jason Saenz (133 lbs.), Maxximus Martinez (157 lbs.), Jack Estevez (165 lbs.), and Mo Talebi (197 lbs.). Additionally, Roman Loya took second place in the 184-pound weight class, while Jakob Hand earned third place at 174 pounds.

Saenz secured a 5-0 victory over Moorpark's Mason Carrillo in the finals with a second-period takedown, an escape, and a penalty point. Martinez triumphed in overtime against Palomar's Joe Anthony Perez after the two wrestlers were limited to stalling points in regulation. Estevez completed a perfect 3-0 performance with a decisive 7-3 win over Preston Scharf from Cuesta College. Meanwhile, Talebi dominated the tournament, racking up two pins, a technical fall, and an injury default. He pinned Cuesta's Chance Evans at 3:47, extending his streak to seven consecutive bonus-point victories.

With this title, the Mounties conclude another highly successful wrestling season, marked by numerous championships, individual achievements, and continued growth.
