(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Basketball team will be aiming for their ninth consecutive Linda G. Smith Tip-Off Classic Championship on Sunday after a convincing 67-46 semifinal win over Citrus College Saturday night at the Mountie Gymnasium.
Mt. SAC will play Long Beach City College, a 73-68 semifinal winner over Saddleback College, on Sunday in the championship game.
After a close opening-game win in the tournament the Mounties (2-0) took an eight-point (16-8) first quarter lead and were never threatened the rest of the way, averaging a double-digit lead throughout the game.
