While the storm brought rain, the Mounties still found a way to lead the State. Sophomore Hurdler Dylan Atencio ran a state leading time of 53.25 in only his second outing in the event this season. Sophomore Brittany Mitchell also improved on her state leading mark in the 400 hurdles, running 1:01.09.
Sophomore throwers Julian Ortega and Ciara Patterson threw a lifetime bests in the hammer. Ortega threw 161' 10", which ranks him #6 in the State. Patterson threw 152' 9" ranking her #4 in Southern California. Five other Mounties had seasonal bests that rank them in the top 10 in Southern California.
