Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) wasted no time asserting its dominance at the 2025 South Coast Conference Championships on Thursday, racking up event wins and depth points across both men's and women's swimming and diving.

The women's team exploded out of the gates with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:38.43), powered by Genevieve Niko, Elleanna Ramos, Spencer Damaske, and Carolyn Kao—who would all go on to make big individual contributions. In the 500-yard freestyle, Paige Fast took gold in 5:15.39, while teammates Megan Venegas and Rachel Donahue added critical points. Kao, Ramos, and Niko swept the top three spots in the 50 free, and Damaske added a runner-up finish in the 200 IM. Mt. SAC also claimed first in the 400 medley relay and placed four divers in the top five of the 1-meter event, helping them build a commanding lead with 329 team points.

On the men's side, Mt. SAC matched the women's energy with show-stopping performances in nearly every event. They opened with a win in the 200 free relay (1:24.76), anchored by Ray Chun, who also claimed gold in the 50 free (20.85). Jack Painton topped the podium in the 500 free (4:42.37), with four other Mounties scoring in the top nine. In the 200 IM, Mt. SAC showed depth and dominance as Michael Dibello took first (1:51.57), with teammates Gavin Roberts and Ethan Lopez close behind in third and fifth. The team capped the day by winning the 400 medley relay in 3:24.67 and adding a diving victory by Michael Evangelista on the 3-meter board. Mt. SAC sits comfortably atop the men's leaderboard with 292 points, 53.5 ahead of second-place Long Beach City College.
