
Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Men's Swimming and Diving Team delivered an impressive performance in a three-day stretch, starting it off with a commanding 157-54 victory over Northern California powerhouse Sierra College in a nonconference dual meet on Thursday, February 27.
The Mounties secured first place in eight of the nine individual events. Jack Painton led the charge with a first-place finish in the 500 Free (4:48.11) and a second-place finish in the 200 Free (1:48.81). Ray Chun sprinted to victory in both the 100 Free (47.96) and 50 Free (21.62), while Luke Marsden dominated the 100 Breast (57.77). Ethan Lopez took first in the 100 Fly (54.00), and Michael Dibello claimed wins in the 100 Back (52.38) and 200 IM (1:59.99). Dylan Liu rounded out the individual victories with a first-place finish in the 100 IM (55.67).
The Mounties also shined in relay events, with Dibello, Marsden, Painton, Chun, and Liu securing first place in both the 200 Medley Relay (1:35.71) and the 200 Free Relay (1:27.92).
Mt. SAC's dominant performance against Sierra College further cements the team's status as a force to be reckoned with this season.
