Mounties Roll Past LA Harbor 5-0, Set Sights on Final Regular Season Matches

Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team continued their dominant season on Tuesday, October 29, with a 5-0 victory over LA Harbor.

The scoring kicked off in the 19th minute when Allan Rosales found the net, assisted by Hector Chavez, putting the Mounties ahead 1-0. Saul Hernandez extended the lead in the 34th minute, marking his first goal of the season with an assist from Kenneth Flores.

The Mounties kept the momentum going in the second half, as Fausto Lopez scored in the 65th minute and Flores netted his own in the 75th, both assisted by Rosales. The final goal came in the 87th minute from Liam Murphy, also his first of the season, sealing the victory.

Defensively, the Mounties were solid, with goalkeeper Alex Ledesma making three saves to ensure a shutout.

After a recent loss to El Camino, the Mounties dropped two spots in the rankings to No. 3, now trailing Evergreen Valley at No. 2 and the El Camino Warriors, who claimed the top position. With this victory, their record now stands at 12-2-3 overall and 5-2 in conference play, positioning them at the top of the South Coast Conference North.

Next, the Mounties will host No. 15 ranked Los Angeles City (10-3-4) on Friday, November 1, at 5:00 PM. Join us in supporting the Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team as they conclude the regular season at home on Tuesday, November 5, against No. 6 ranked Long Beach City College (13-3-1) and gear up for the South Coast Conference Tournament beginning November 8.
