Pasadena – Mt. SAC's Moises Prado stole the show on Tuesday, scoring two goals that led the Mounties to a decisive 2-0 victory over Pasadena City College in their first conference match of the season. With this win, the Mounties maintain their unbeaten record, standing at 8-0-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Prado opened the scoring in the 29th minute, finding the back of the net off a well-placed assist from Allan Rosales. Just three minutes later, he doubled the lead with a powerful strike from 15 yards out, assisted by Nathan Nunez.
Defensively, Mt. SAC held firm, with goalkeeper Alex Ledesma making three crucial saves to keep a clean sheet. The backline effectively limited Pasadena's chances, allowing only seven shots, three of which were on target. Meanwhile, the Mounties controlled the game, attempting 10 shots on goal.
Looking ahead, the Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team will face Compton College, who boasts a 5-2-2 record, on Friday, October 11, at 4:00 PM.
