After two consecutive ties, the Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team came out on top with a 2-0 win against LA Mission on Tuesday, September 10.
Forward Christopher Chavez scored the first goal of the game in the 13th minute, giving the Mounties an early lead. In the 68th minute, defender Ulyses Perez made a pivotal pass to Felipe Cobian, who extended Mt. SAC's lead with a second goal.
The Mounties demonstrated strong defense led by goalkeeper Alex Ledesma, who recorded three saves. The Mounties took ten shots on goal total displaying their offensive capabilities.
With this victory, Mt. SAC's record improves to 4-0-2. The team was also ranked No. 1 in the CCCSIA men's soccer poll as of September 2. The Mounties will look to keep this momentum going at their next game against MiraCosta College on Monday, September 16, at 4:00 PM.
