The Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team delivered a superior performance in their 5-0 victory over the College of Southern Nevada on Sunday, August 25, as part of the Mt. SAC / Nike / Azteca Soccer Tournament.
Freshman Fausto Lopez led the offense with a standout performance, contributing three assists and scoring the opening goal in the 41st minute with an assist from defender Brody Quinzon. Forward Victor Fregoso added the second goal in the 47th minute. Jon Jay Joseph followed up with back-to-back goals in the 56th and 60th minutes, both assisted by Fausto Lopez. Moises Prado delivered the fifth and final goal in the 75-minute mark, concluding a powerful team performance.
Goalkeeper Alex Ledesma was pivotal in maintaining the clean sheet, making three impressive saves to keep the College of Southern Nevada scoreless.
The victory brings the Men's Soccer Team to a 2-0 record for the season. They will play their next home game on Thursday, August 29, at 7:00 PM against Yavapai College.
