Mt. SAC Men’s Golf Finishes First in Match No. 6; Tied for First in OEC Standings

(Chino, CA) With one match to go before the Orange Empire Conference Finals, the Mt. SAC Men's Golf team and College of the Desert are both tied for first after the Mounties won Match No. 6 on Monday, April 8 at El Prado Golf Course.

Both teams are tied atop the OEC standings with 21-8 records, with Riverside City College a distance back at 13-16 in third place.

The Mounties finished with a team score of 377, followed by COD four strokes back at 381. RCC placed third with a score of 384, with Mt. San Jacinto (431) and Victor Valley (484) in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

This was the second time in six matches this season that the Mounties placed first in Inland Division play.

The Mounties' Trevor Ruiz tied for third with a score of 73, while teammates Keefe Pantayatiwong (75), Zion Yambot (76), Kobe Trujillo (76), Aaron Fekin (77), and Spencer Ramirez (85) followed suit.

Next up for the Mounties is the OEC Neutral Match on Monday, April 15, hosted by Cuyamaca College.
