(Whittier, CA) Gerald Jordan posted 21 points, while teammate Josh Jastrab added 20 more, as Mt. SAC (6-14, 1-0) downed host Rio Hondo, 74-65, in both teams' opening game of South Coast Conference North Division play on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Collin Reed added 14 points for the Mounties.

Jordan also tallied a game-high 11 rebounds and teammate Agustin Fernandez grabbed nine. Maliq Neurell led all players with nine assists in the winning effort.

Aaron Patterson scored 21 for the Roadrunners (3-18, 0-1).

Winners of two straight, the Mounties will host Los Angeles Trade Tech (11-10, 0-1) in an SCC North matchup on Friday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m.
