Mt. SAC Football Maintains Undefeated Streak with 41-19 Victory Over Allan Hancock

The Mt. San Antonio College Football Team continued its undefeated streak with a 41-19 win against Allan Hancock College on Saturday, September 21 in Santa Maria. With this victory, Mt. SAC improves to 3-0 for the season, showcasing a powerful offense and relentless defense.

The Mounties took control early, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter. Quarterback Noah Fuailetolo threw a 30-yard pass to wide receiver Elijah Crook to give Mt. SAC a 7-0 lead. They extended their lead to 14-0 by the end of the first quarter when wide receiver Alonzo Brown caught a 36-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jack Benson.

Mt. SAC continued their aggressive approach, scoring two more touchdowns in the second quarter. Running back Devin Miles capped off a 75-yard drive with a 3-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a 1-yard run from Samuel Green Jr. just before halftime, raising the score to 28-0.

Allan Hancock made a push in the third quarter, scoring 12 points, including a touchdown, a field goal and a defensive two-point conversion on a failed extra point attempt. However, Mt. SAC responded with a 5-yard rushing touchdown from running back Jayson Cortes, further solidifying their dominance with a score of 34-12 by the end of the third quarter. Green sealed the game with a second touchdown in the fourth quarter, bringing the final score to 41-19.

Defensively, Mt. SAC excelled, allowing just 220 yards while accumulating 443 yards on offense. Fuailetolo completed 21 of 32 passes for 208 yards and one touchdown, while Benson went a perfect 3-for-3 for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Miles led the rushing attack with 72 yards on 14 carries, including a 3-yard touchdown. Green contributed with two rushing touchdowns and finished with 22 yards, demonstrating Mt. SAC's offensive versatility. Linebacker Tyondre Coleman spearheaded the defense with six tackles, as the rest of the defenders applied consistent pressure and limited Allan Hancock's scoring opportunities. Kicker Jacob Bonilla successfully converted all five of his extra point attempts.

In the receiving unit, Brown caught three passes for 60 yards and a touchdown, while De'shon Thompson recorded five receptions for 56 yards and Nicolas Ceballos hauled in three catches for 45 yards. Crook finished with 33 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Head Coach Bob Jastrab was happy with the outcome and the performance commenting, "I'm very pleased with the effort and the improvement our team has shown from week to week. We must keep it going with a big game coming up this weekend at home against our cross-town rivals."

Next up, the Mounties will face the Citrus College Owls on Saturday, September 28, at 6:00 PM. The game will feature Foundation Golf Tournament Sponsor Appreciation Night along with Alumni Appreciation Night. Mt.
