Palomar Ends Mt. SAC Baseball Season in Super Regional Round

(San Marcos, CA) After downing Cuesta College, 17-5, in the opening game of the 2024 3C2A Super Regionals at Palomar College on May 9, Mt. San Antonio College (30-14) fell to top-seed Palomar College, 9-8, in 10 innings on May 10, then again, 12-7, in the regional's decisive game on Saturday, May 11. The loss ends the Mounties' 2024 season.

In Saturday's game, Mt. SAC took a 3-1 lead into the top of the fourth when the Comets (35-9) scored four runs to take a 5-3 lead. PC tacked on three in the fifth and four more in the sixth to widen the gap to 12-3. The Mounties cut into the lead with three in the bottom of the sixth and one in the seventh but still came up short in the end.

Several players performed well offensively for Mt. SAC, including Ty Thomas (2-3, R, RBI), Andrew Ramirez (2-4, R, RBI), Blake Hagerty (2-5, R), and Joey Rossetti (2-5, 2 RBI). In addition, Kaden Moeller (1-4, R, RBI) homered for the Mounties.

Starter Jaden Mackowiak pitched 3.2 innings and allowed five runs (two earned) on four hits while striking out three.

With the win, Palomar advances to the SoCal Regional Finals. See you in 2025!
