Mt. SAC Women’s Beach Volleyball Remains Undefeated in Conference with 3-2 Win Over El Camino

Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Beach Volleyball Team continued their unbeaten run in conference play with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over El Camino on Friday, March 21. This win marks their second triumph over the Warriors this season, keeping them at the top of the South Coast Conference standings with an 11-7 overall record. El Camino, on the other hand, drops to 7-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

In the No. 1 pair match, Candace Ceballos and Madeline Castillo defeated Aireon Scott and Tate Mercer, claiming victory in straight sets, 21-14, 23-21. Meanwhile, the No. 3 duo of Eva Fisher and Emma Carson triumphed over Payton Garrison and Perla Lopez with scores of 21-19, 21-13. Eva Becerra and Mayah Tiscareno, in the No. 4 spot, secured a solid win against Madelyn Hancock and Alyssa Estrada, finishing 21-4, 24-22.

Despite strong efforts, the No. 2 pair of Itzel Aguayo and Freda Lei were edged out by Erica Griffiths and Zoe Lekan in a tough three-set match, 21-15, 13-21, 6-15. In the No. 5 matchup, Kaylin Mendoza and Jasmyn Stampley fell 14-21, 8-21 to Scheala Nielsen and Ava Ober.

Later that day, the Mounties faced a challenging matchup against Feather River (15-3), where they were swept 0-5.
