Former Mountie Art Guevara, now in his third season as head coach of the Mt. SAC Men's and Women's Golf teams, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role. Having been a part of the program since 2016, Guevara previously served as an assistant coach for both teams before taking on the head coaching position. He has been a PGA member for the past 24 years and currently serves as the Head Professional and Tournament Director at El Prado Golf Courses in Chino, California. 

In 2023, Guevara led the Mounties to an Orange Coast Conference Women's Golf Championship and a second place finish at the 3C2A State Championship. His efforts earned him the Orange Coast Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year award. 

Guevara played for Mt. SAC in 1990 under legendary Coach Ray Adermann. His professional journey began at Industry Hills Golf Club (Pacific Palms Conference Resort) in 1991, where he started as a phone clerk and worked his way up to Head PGA Professional before the age of 30. He furthered his career at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda for two years and Green River Golf Club in Corona for nine years. 

Guevara is a mentor to fellow golf professionals and aspiring PGA members. He directs the El Prado Golf Courses Golfer Development Program, which includes teaching programs for men and women as well as a successful junior program.   

Art and his wife, Meryl, reside in Covina with their two children, Faith and Kiko.
