After a series of challenging matches, the Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team returned to form with a decisive 3-1 victory over Riverside City College on Friday, September 13. Despite dropping the first set 27-25, the Mounties rallied with impressive determination to win the next three sets 27-25,25-21 and 25-15, securing the win.

Coach Neely reflected on the game saying, "After several matches of underperforming, we took time on Thursday to have some important conversations before this match. We revisited our vision for this season and identified areas, both as a team and individually, where we can close the gap between intention and action. Every player knew their job going into the match and took steps in the right direction to carry out their roles."

This victory was a true team effort with standout performances across the board. Emma Carson demonstrated mental toughness throughout the night, handling a majority of serve receives and recording a total of 17 digs. Middle blocker Jordyn Romano was a dominant force, leading the team with 15 kills and several impactful swings. Eva Fisher, who has played every position across the front row this season, showed her versatility with 11 kills and two blocks. Outside hitter Candace Ceballos was pivotal, contributing 13 kills and 23 digs. Additionally, the bench played a vital role, bringing the energy and emotional support that helped drive the team to victory.

The Mounties will aim to keep this momentum going as they face Golden West on Wednesday, September 18, at 5:00 PM. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the team!
