Mt. SAC Baseball swept by Cerritos in SCC action

(Norwalk, CA) The Mt. SAC Baseball team lost its third straight game to host Cerritos College in a South Coast Conference game on Saturday, March 16 at Kincaid Field.

Mt. SAC drops to 13-9 overall and 5-4 in the conference.

After taking a 1-0 lead in the third inning, Cerritos came back with three runs in the sixth and two in the seventh for the 5-1 lead and eventual win.

The Mounties lone run came after sophomore left fielder Joey Rossetti opened the inning with a walk and ended up at third on two wild pitches.

Rossetti came home an RBI infield out by sophomore center fielder Braden France.

Alejandro Morales (0-3) suffered the loss for the Mounties.

Mt. SAC continues SCC action on Tuesday, March 19, as they host Pasadena City College in the first of a three-game series.

Nick Mejia (2-4) and Daniel Briones (2-3) led the Mounties with two hits each.
